How long has Brisbane Air been around?

We began in 1982, under the name of Lindner Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and have been serving Brisbane customers continuously for the last 27 years. In 2009, we re-branded our company from Lindner Air Conditioning and Refrigeration to Brisbane Air, in an effort to further grow our business. Nowadays, Brisbane Air (incorporating Lindner Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) has a strong and loyal customer database, and much of our work is still obtained through customer referral. This longevity of existence provides our customers further assurance that we provide a quality and affordable service, and that we can offer peace of mind through the long guarantees on our work.

Are you the cheapest?

Our aim at Brisbane Air is to provide all our customers with a quality service at an affordable price. We use quality materials and guarantee all our work. Based on installing the same air conditioning unit and using the same materials as our competitors, we believe that we will provide you with the cheapest aircon installation quote. However, in today’s highly competitive environment, it is possible that you may receive a cheaper quote, but bear in mind that it is in your own interests, to carefully check the air conditioner unit (brand and size), the materials and guarantee that are being offered for these quotes.

Yes, at Brisbane Air we have a lot of experience working with insurance companies and can help you through the claim process.

I need air conditioning, but am not able to pay for it immediately – can you help me with a payment plan over 2 years?

Yes, Brisbane Air has established facilities that allow for an interest free period of up to 2.5 years, with an initial deposit of 25% followed by regular fortnightly re-payments. How soon can you install my new air conditioner?

From the date of receiving your order, Brisbane Air aims to be on site to carry out the air conditioner installation within 7 working days.

What is Brisbane Air doing to protect our environment?

At Brisbane Air, we make our own small effort to help the environment in which we live. Consequently, we only install residential air conditioning units that are compliant with MEPS and also, we always recommend the installation of energy efficient units. Today, the most energy efficient units are inverter units that basically minimise the amount of power needed to run the compressor, through preventing large on/ off power fluctuations. Also, we are licensed as a member of the National Refrigerant Trading Authority, which is a body established to minimise the emissions of harmful ozone depleting and synthetic greenhouse gas refrigerants – consequently, at Brisbane Air we now always use only environmentally friendly refrigerants.

From 1 September 2009, every air conditioner that we install into residential premises in Queensland must now meet a minimum Energy Efficient Rating (EER) of 2.9.

What is MEPs?

MEPS stands for Minimum Energy Performance Standards. Basically, the implementation of MEPs in Australia means that certain products (including single phased air conditioning units) that are manufactured or imported into Australia, must now comply with the relevant statutory requirements as defined for minimum energy efficiency levels.

What is a standard back to back installation?

A standard back to back installation refers to installing a split system air conditioning unit in a lowset property, where there is a maximum pipe run of 2.5 metres between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit.
